Pregnancy

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is so important for both mom and baby. Your baby’s entire nervous system is developed through the mother. The better the mother’s system functions, the more optimal fetal development can be. While chiropractic care during pregnancy has been shown to increase the mom’s comfort, lead to desired fetal positioning, and result in the labor and delivery that the mother wants, we know that a healthy pregnancy is the foundation for a healthy kid. Chiropractic is all about getting to the root cause of issues before they even arise. Being able to impact little ones before they are born is the epitome of being proactive.

Dr. Brittany has gone through extensive training in regard to caring for pregnant women. She is certified in The Webster Technique and has received advanced perinatal training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The Webster Technique is a chiropractic approach that focuses on the optimal strength, stability, and alignment of the pelvis and associated pelvic structures.

The Webster Technique

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of pelvic imbalance. In pregnancy, pelvic imbalance may affect the mother’s comfort and the baby’s position. During birth, pelvic imbalance can affect labor progression, leading to unnecessary intervention. Pelvic imbalance adversely affects uterine nerve function, the structure of the pelvis, and may hinder a baby’s ability to gain optimal positioning. The Webster Technique helps to restore pelvic balance as well as normal physiological function of both the mother and baby.

I originally sought out chiropractic care early on during my pregnancy for neck pain. While this improved quickly, I continued under care until I delivered. I feel like Dr. Brittany set everything up to go as well as it could have [during birth]. He was out in 5 pushes, and literally the tendinitis in my hips was more painful than the actual birth. It was perfect”
